Can a local KDMax tuner apply a TSB

I tried searching but I can’t find a clear answer. I wanna get tune on my 2020 Tacoma and could the person tuning the truck apply a TSB update at the same time?

specifically TSB -0045-21

it’s a crawl control update.

 

@Jlab Yes, any tuning resource worth dealing with should be able to knock that out with you when needed.

 

Just curious, how does the tune shop get their hands on the TSB code?

Right, so that’s restricted to dealers,
so back to the original question. I also wonder if a tune shop opens itself up to legal trouble for installing a TSB if software access is restricted.

 

You can get a temporary license. It's not restricted to dealers.
