So the hood on my 2011 is in rough shape. A really nasty dust storm I drove through added swirls, dozens of chips, and hundreds of microchips that are all slowly getting bigger and worse. Cracked my windshield, etc. Not cool.

I just got a replacement hood that's likely got that black e-coating on it, looks a little glossier than your typical primer, but is still kinda matte black. Now what?

Can I wrap over the factory coating? Or, can I have a shop add a clear coat or sealant to the e-coating and call it a day? I'm ok with the matte black and don't need it to match the black of my truck. I'd probably do a matte black wrap to help with glare.

    Thoughts on my next step?
