I just had A king 2.5 suspension lift installed by a shop near me with camburg upper control arms and heavy duty Dakar rear springs install. I thought the truck would sit level but it still sits bed high by about 1 3/4 in. I still have some adjustment on the front coilovers but I think I would max out the adjustment to level the truck and was told it would negatively affect the ride. Is there any suggestions to level the truck. I’m not planning on adding all the overlanding stuff to the bed as it’s mostly a Day trip truck to the desert. The shop kept telling me when I add weight to the bed it would level out and seems to not understand that isn’t the plan.

That was a thought I had. I’ve read you can remove the 3rd from the top or the very bottom leaf. Not sure what is true.

If you won't be carrying weight all the time, take the 3rd leaf down out. If you plan on adding weight remove the longer overload. Either will net you a decrease of about 1/2"

Awesome. I’ll give that a shot. Thank you for the advise.

Well. Sorry but I mistakenly thought I had the EL112R heavy duty spring packs but I have the medium duty’s. The EL111R. Would the same advice be true ? Also they were just installed a week ago. The shop says they will sag or settle over time and level the truck. Does this sound correct. I like the look of a level truck but want to do it right if possible.

I'd leave it, it looks great!
I don't have experience with those particular springs, but I would think it would settle as most do.

Upload a photo of the pack. Yes the springs will settle over time but not by much. I only have experience with the heavy duty springs. You do want some rear end rake though for when/if you ever do load up the bed.

Leave it, it looks great ( better than level ) and trucks were not meant to be leveled. Nothings says "look at my pavement princess" like a leveled out truck.:)

Didn't realize rake was the deciding factor between a pavement pounder and a hard-core wheeler/bed user :crapstorm:

Hope these are good enough photos. I know the some rake is good if adding weight but love to look of a level truck. I’m open to leaving it though. What ever I do I just want to make sure it’s correct if you know what I mean.

Perfect, essentially removing the longer overload will reduce some height without affecting spring rate/ride quality but you will be relying more on your bumpstops. You could still remove the 3rd leaf from the top which will lower height while also reducing spring rate (softer ride). Can always throw the leaf back in if it settles more than expected or if you don't like how it rides.

Thank you for everyone’s thoughts and if I choose to remove a spring which one to remove.

FYI. I do love the suspension. I’ve had it off road once sense the work was done and it out performed what I thought it would do so no matter what I do I don’t want to affect it’s off road performance.

Agree. Tacos look best when their butts are higher than their noses.

This. It pretty much says “I will never actually load my bed with anything “. The whole point of the rake is to give the bed some suspension room for a heavy load, so you don’t bottom out.

To add to this, why buy a truck if you plan to never use the bed? An SUV would be more appropriate.

I personally think leveled trucks look stupid. But each to their own.

I fully understand why trucks have a bit of rake to them and why it works out for guys that haul weight often. I happen to like the look of a level truck and get the tradeoffs of this. I would like to find the best of both worlds if that’s possible. Thanks for everyone’s opinions of what they like in the stance of a truck. I may leave it alone but haven’t decided either way yet. Still researching before I decide.

Your springs will settle and it will look much better, IMHO
