Was on here back when I had my 2013 TRD Sport DCSB while in the DFW area (user name TR90125). I currently have a 2019 TRD OR DCSB and reside in Maine.

I absolutely loved my 2013. The 2019 is awesome as well.

The ‘19 was bought out of necessity as we live at the end of a 1.5 mile Fire Road. Every other week is mud season.

My ‘19 is close to bone stock…

Nice to see you back, and upgraded to the Off Road TRD... Now you get to play with a dozen traction control choices! LOL

lol…I think the local community college has an associate’s degree on that….my go to is the Limited slip, and 4hi and up from there. I have actually used the limited slip to get unstuck when 4hi couldn’t (on the crappy stock tires).

I have used the locker a few times when the mud road gets gnarly or slipping on snow, mostly just to use it, really.

Great to be back. TW is like going to MIT for Taco owners.

Fear not using L4 with MTS (A-TRAC) instead of the locker, or use both, together... Yes, tires are everything... and lowering air pressure when off road, too! Have a great weekend!

I haven’t even scratched the surface of what that truck can do. I’ve really only experimented with the LSD and air pressure. My property and our road really is like a terrain park so I do have an environment that I can test most of this in my back yard.

What fun you can have... See my post on explaining the traction options. I have not driven a 3rd Gen, so the updates come from other TWers. I am still not convinced. Maybe (if it is fun for you) you can see if your truck does what is described here:

Doggman put together a comprehensive thread on Gen 3 traction controls.

I was gonna wait until I got stuck to read it….
