How have you been liking the RT's compared to the AT3W's so far now that it's been a while?

Honestly, any difference is subtle. Highway ride is smooth and quiet. Have taken the truck into dunes, no airing down, and had plenty of bite. Couple of wet storms with no traction issues. Only tests left are mud n snow

Thanks for the feedback. I'm debating going 35's and am looking at these as well as the new AT4W's that falken is coming out with here soon. The tread on the new ones looks similar to the atw3. What trimming did you have to do in order to clear the 35x11.5 size?

I chose the RTs in 35x11.5 after installing the Camburg trail series LT. The AT3W in 315/75r16 scrub radius rubbed. The mid travel setup, cmc, and 2” fender trim cleared the set up no prob.
Tinkerers video supporting skinny tires with science came out around this time didn’t hurt my decision to go 35x11.5 either lol

Oh damn I didn’t realize you had LT set up on your truck. Thats sic. I’m currently running Yohohama MT’s 285/75/17 (34x11) with CMC, pinch weld and minor fender trimming near the pinch well. I’m considering going with the same tires in a 315/75/16 or one of the Falkens in 35x11.5. I’m trying to avoid full cab mount relocate and I’m on the fence with full fender trimming.

I’m a huge fan of the wider tires but the wheel well squeeze is our enemy. The 11.5 seems to be a happy medium

Yeah it almost seems like falken made this size and load rating specifically for Tacomas and 4runners.

The C load rating helps too

Looks sweet! How’s the fitment compare to the 34’s you had before?

They are about an inch taller and a half inch narrower. Even though the website lists the tires nearly the same width the shape of the Falkens profile is a little narrower.

Truck already had a CMR and C4 fender liners so no rubbing or anything.

Not much difference in drive or feel, maybe a little smoother than the Ridge Grapplers and maybe a little quieter. But also a new set of Ridge Grapplers would have probably made the same changes.

Awesome! Thanks for that info and especially the side by side pics. That's pretty interesting about the width differences based on what each manufacture lists them.

Anyone running these on a first gen yet? Really like the look of them and considering moving to this size from my current 315/75/16s.
