So I wanna lift my trd off road by about 2 inches. I plan on eventually making it into an off road rig but I’m in university and have a lot of obligations right now and will for the next couple of years. So right now the lift is purely for visual purposes. Obviously right now in uni money is somewhat tight so I was looking into 5100s. But since I don’t plan on doing an hard trails for the next couple of years should I just get a leveling kit because I see a lot of threads around here that says I absolutely should not get a leveling kit and others saying that it’ll just be a stiff ride since it’ll be a pavement princess for now, and some saying as long as it’s 1-2 inches there will be no harm done. And if you think I should get 5100s is there a place where I can just buy a whole kit, if so do you have a link. Or for leveling kits any recommendations?

You don’t need to modify your truck to go off-roading. Carpe diem!

A good set of tires and driving skills will get you more places than you can imagine.

Looks are fine, but IMHO be secondary to function. That idea might show up in one of your economics classes. :D

He referenced he wants the “look” of a 2” lifted truck- not how he can off-road with different tires or advanced skills.

OP- the link eurowner provided is where you want to look.

Nope. Don’t have to touch them and you can go from the tip of North America to the tip of South America and handle any off-roading encountered on the way.
