I have a 2000 Tacoma and neither the temp nor fuel work at all. Wire from sender (temp)to cluster goot as is fuel sender to gauges. Is there a way to test the Guage when removed from cluster?

What happens when you jump the pins on the harness for the sending unit?
    Or grounding the temp wire?
