Looking for Dispersed Camping Recommendations (leaving from tampa)

Looking for recommendations for dispersed camping areas. We'd be leaving from Tampa. Mainly just want to be away from other people. We don't necessarily need to make it a wheeling trip but we're not opposed to it. Started looking on the National Forest website and was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of options, so figured I'd look for a recommendation. Was originally thinking Ocala. Want to be able to drive out and set up camp, not looking to backpack this go around. We do have kayaks so that would be a bonus but not necessary

 

not ONF but check out the Southwest WM District they have free campgrounds, just need to make a online reservation to get the gate code you can zoom the image for the website.
