Hello all, I just got back into a new (to me) 1st gen. This one is a 95 3.4
I bought the truck knowing the AC fuse would blow if you press the switch. After trying to dig through old forums one diagnosis was to unplug power from the compressor/clutch and see if the fuse still pops. After doing this the fuse is okay and the switch light stays on. My question is how can I tell if the compressor and/or clutch is the problem and needs to be replaced?
    Thanks in advance

If you unplug the compressor clutch at the compressor and the fuse doesn't blow but it does with the compressor clutch plugged in then the clutch coil is shorted.
