    Hey all,

I just bought an '02 Xtracab and the radio doesn't work (i'm thinking its just straight dead, no lights on it and no dead fuses or bad wiring from previous owner) so I'm looking to get something modern.

What do y'all use? I'd like a double din with a touchscreen, but I'm not opposed to single din's that are cheap, decent quality and easy install. Looking to stay under $300, but quality options over that I won't ignore.

weirder things have happened-- i would check behind your current radio to make sure it's plugged in. and if it is, verify you have power on that radio plug with a volt meter.

it's not so bad to still want change, but i've seen some people right before they go to sell, swap out all their aftermarket gear, but just never connect the old factory gear they put back in.

I use an ATOTO S8 Premium. It works pretty good so far. You have to buy a harness adapter in order for it to plug in properly

I beat you to that, I pulled the radio and verified that i’m getting power (both the always hot pin and the hot on “ON” pin). I actually dissected the unit while I had it out to see if I could see anything obviously wrong internally, but I did not find any issues there. I did scrub some corrosion away but nothing changed so unless I have some other weird issue going on, looks like it’s time for a new unit.
