Hauled some sheet goods for a buddy. Stayed up to 2am helping him framing and flooring his garage loft. Also helped him with his beer surplus.

    Like it? - Yes.
Does it block the view out of the window? - I'll say it alters your view, not block it. You're looking through the metal mesh and over the top edge. Not a deal breaker. Besides, if you strap down a bunch of stuff on the cover (camping/hunting/fishing gear, dead animals, building supplies, your MIL's old sofa etc.) you ain't looking out the back anyway. In NC it's ok if you have door mirrors on both sides of your vehicle. Check your local laws.
Did you need to get stronger gas pistons? - No. It does add weight to the cab panel and you have to assist the panel to raise it. But you have to hold the panel with one hand anyway to bypass the anti-fly stop. Once it is in the fully open position the struts hold it open.
And I bought my DB to carry stuff on it, esp when the bed if full of other stuff. Like bags of concrete, tools, stuff you don't want getting wet. No need for the utility trailer with a small load. Takes the stress out of wondering if a piece of lumber is going to come sliding through the back window.

So replaced the alternator, belt tensioner, belt and an idler pulley because I was told that's what's causing a squeal, all was well for a day drove it and I was happy. But started the truck this morning squealing again WTF.

My question is, can the pulley on the AC compressor be bad, that's literally the only thing that hasn't been changed in the last year besides the crank. Can't be the clutch or compressor AC still blows cold.

I never understood this one, but if something has text on it, it has to be perfectly level.

I think Diamondback recommends a stronger gas strut. You can get some just a little longer, and not use the “safety lever” on the front opening and it will open 90 degrees. So much nicer.

Lights, stickers, audio, and a grille…
Currently in for PA State safety inspection, just got off the phone with the stealership. He said the passenger front market bulb is out(was working when I dropped it off, but whatever, possible I missed it, or it burned out) $5.95 for the bulb, $40 to install! I said no worries, I’ll plug the new bulb in myself, and he was like, it’s a big hassle for us to fail it and then reinspect it after you’ve replaced the bulb, so I’ll give you the labor for $19.95. I wish I had a trustworthy mechanic around me. Tired of dealing with the dealership…

are these soft (ish) or more on the rigid side? I have husky liners that I hate cause they are hard and curl up and totally suck.
