Im late to the party, but all caught up now.

I think my only real concern from the OP video was the body flexing enough to cause damage to the paint on the door when they parked on that 12" (?) rock.
And to stir the pot, I think calling a spacer by the approx net gain is acceptable. No sense in calling it a 3/4" spacer and a 1.5" lift all at the same time. It's a 1.5" lift from a spacer, or a 1.5" spacer or 1.5" lift. All the same to me.

That’s cool but most people aren’t taking their Tacoma rock crawling and especially not a new $50K+ 4th gen. If a stock 4th gen can fit 33” tires then that’s more than enough for 99.9% of owners.

It’s way more than sufficient for me

I’ll still lift mine and run 34s or 35s

Plenty of people take their $50k Broncos and Wranglers rock crawling. A few take their $100k Bronco Raptors rock crawling. There's enough Broncos doing it for 74Weld to justify designing its own billet steering rack.

Of course but 99% of them are used only to drop off kids at soccer practice.

    ^I think you're confusing them with 4Runners :p

The 4Runner is a soccer mom mobile too but I see way more moms driving Wranglers and broncos around here. Especially rubicons that have never left the pavement.

^The Wrangler and Bronco drivers here tend to be younger. Many buy them just for the removable top. I would bet a smaller percentage of them go off-road than Tacomas.
