What do you use to shine your tires?

That would make a real mess of the paint if it got on there. Brake fluid eats paint.

 

When I was young, I used to use tire dressing you'd brush on with a paint brush on my Corvettes

Being older and wiser, I avoid the dumb stuff I used to do when I was younger (mostly)

 

right now all i have for tire dressing is some of this, its good i like it, But i am always down to try something else

I don't use anything on my Tacoma tires. On my cars, I use a product from S&N Products called Super Kote. I apply with a sponge, let it sit/soak...then wipe off really good to prevent it from slinging on to the car.

 

I use dirt. Looks pretty good.

 

shine supply decked out diluted 2:1 has been my recent go to on the truck. not too shiney, and with proper application it doesnt sling on the doors/debsides

 

all of you guys that say shit like I dont use tire shine are full of shit lol, i know all of you guys have put some kind of shine on your tires after you give your tacoma a good hand wash and detail lol....

last time there was tire shine crap on my tires is when i brought it home from dealer after picking it up from purchase. had to remove the slung shine crap from fenders and took it off tires. dealer detailers are idiots.
does not mean i don't run the sponge over the tires as the last thing after wiping the rims/wheels when i rarely wash the whole thing.

 

Of course. Lots of things in life go wrong when not done correctly.

 

green stuff or whatever to degrease 'em and 303 for a mild shine.
or whatever the car wash guy at our office uses.

 

WD-40, no shine, but nice and black.

 

I either use the Meg foaming tire spray or the Meg tire shine spray

 

I've never seen someone so triggered so easily

You're the one that's so full. But you must know that since you know everything. I've never detailed any vehicle including my Corvette let alone the truck! That's not lol.

Personally I see tires as a sole of the shoe. Why bother cleaning in if it’s gonna get dirty as soon as one goes for a drive.
