Ok new problem guys but same area. I didn't get any replies to my last post but after some digging I found the part I need just having a hard time finding it but have found a work around for the time being.

NEW PROBLEM: As the title states the truck can be changed into any gear without having the key in or the brake depressed. All you have to do is push the button on the shifter and move the lever. What could be causing this problem?

A bad or broken shift lock.
Or the shift lock button/bar is jammed in the down position.
