I bought a rustbucket ‘95 1/2 Taco in 2013. Manual, extended cab 4x4. That truck fell apart faster than I could fix it and a couple years later it kicked the bucket. I still got $1700 just for parts.

Drove a ‘04 Ranger after that for many years until I hit a deer and totaled it. I always wanted to get back in a Tacoma though.

Last month a coworker tipped me off on a pretty clean (for the rust belt) Taco and I snagged it the day after the FB listing went up for just $500 over trade-in value.

I’ve been lurking on here pretty much every day since browsing mods, specs, discussions, etc. A big thanks to everyone who has contributed - it has made a HUGE difference with my DIY maintenance, repairs, and mods. There is such a trove of good info here.

Made my first trip to an auto professional today for new tires and an alignment. Pic above. Alignment was 100% in spec, and I’m smiling.

I’ve already finished about a dozen of my own projects on the pickup and I have dozens more planned, and I’ll start a build thread here soon.
