I just had a shop install a lot of parts to basically replace all suspension / ball joints etc. I did pretty extensive research before hand but this is what I’ve run into.

On the front I did 5100’s at the lowest setting with 881 springs.
Pretty common setup. I got around 2” higher in the front.

JBA upper control arms. New Toyota lower control arms, lower ball joints. I also did the diff drop kit and 5100 rear shocks.

On the rear I did the OME 122 Leaf springs with the OME non lift shackle.

before the new parts were installed I had a 3/4” rake to the back. Afterward I have a 2 3/4” rake. For my use, it’s awful. It rides horrible. So stiff.

I think the front will be fine but I have to get the rear down. The OME springs raised the rear 4”! I’ve looked at my options and it’s either remove some leafs or I’m going to buy some stock general replacement springs and add a
1 1/4” block. I know a lot of people don’t like blocks but for what I do and such a small amount I am perfectly fine with it.

My problem with removing leafs is that I don’t know which ones or how many to get it to sit level. And even then will axle wrap be a concern or will I still have a stiff ride. I called OME and they have no suggestion.

I think I feel better going the general spring route. And can just adjust the height with the small block.

    Any tips or advice?

Has the rear had time to settle? Sometimes they stink bug pretty bad right out of the gate but settle down to something reasonable after carrying some weight

Not yet, it was put on yesterday. I have read some forums about putting weight in for a bit but most seem to have not had luck with that.

Go grab some sand and or something heavy, and put like 200 lbs or so back there. I bet they settle close to an inch lower than they are now

I would give it a little time to settle, they do relax some, but with 2" up front I'm guessing the rear will still be 1.5"+ higher than the front...maybe more since you have a regular cab.
