@SaneZilas I am glad you are learning about this stuff :) As someone who has done it for a while, mind if I offer some free advice? Be careful with those taps you used on the wires. They are made for multiple gauges of wire, so kind of have a "V" shape blade that cuts the insulation. That can cut the copper strands as well. They can also let water in there, and the wire can corrode, leading to issues years down the road. They are easy to use, but not really the best solution long-term.
As to your DRL issue, you probably have auto headlights, so it looks like your low beams are on? When the low beams are on, the DRL will not be on. There is no 12V on that green wire. The way around that is if you want the lights on with your low beams it to tap the parking light circuit as well (or you can do the low beam). But if you just tap two circuits, then when one is live, it also feeds the other circuit, which you don't want to happen. The way around this is diodes. They act as a one-way gate for electrons. Do a little googling on "rectifier diodes", there should be a lot out there on them. You will want to use one that is rated for a higher amperage than you are going to be pulling through it. So if your added lights are say 2A, use a 3A diode.
And lastly, that picture of the connection to the fuse... Please don't do it that way! Spend the extra couple bucks and use a proper add-a-fuse at least. Something like this Amazon.com: KOLACEN Automotive Car Truck 2 Pieces 16 Gauge Add-a-Circuit Fuse TAP Adapter for Low-Profile Mini Blade Type Fuse + 8 Pieces Low Profile Mini Fuse 5Apm 7.5Apm 10Apm 15Apm : Automotive A burnt up fuse box will cost you a LOT more than $8, I promise.

And lastly, Dave (@daveeasa) does offer a plug that can intercept the wires for you, no splicing or tapping required. He also has diode modules that can safely combine the circuits for you. I know sometimes this stuff can seem unnecessary (and you can do it without, don't get me wrong), but it is a better solution in my opinion. It will hold up better in the long term, and can also be undone with no permanent effect on the stock wiring. But if you like the DIY approach, more power to you. I like that spirit, and there are a lot of people on here that will offer advice and help to teach you how crimp, find the connectors you need, how diodes can do what you want... really most anything.

    Plug & Play...
Added lamps ON with DRL then Parking circuit when DRL turns OFF when LOW Beams are selected.
When turns selected, relay switches source to parallel the added lamps to TURN circuit.

Havent been able to check in since last post but I actually just came to check what else had been added and, funny enough, I had just purchased a 2 pack of the TAP adapters with two added fuse and seperate lines for each fuse so I can directly hook up the positive lines to the ACC+ fuse (was definitely not guna do what they recommended, I thought that was some of the most asinine shit I've ever seen lmao.. damn chinese wiring instructions are dangerous!)

Thanks for the help brother, I planned on soldering the lines together and heatshrink wrapping the connections, just wanted to make sure I had them going to the right lines first lol

Appreciate the support; I'm the type to learn everything I can about something when I start a new hobby. Recently rewired my entire 2nd floor after gut-rehabing the master bedroom because of how f*cked the last dude did the wiring (literally found 12-2 running into 15 amp sockets and shit; can't believe my house didnt catch fire)...

I'm confident with wiring up a house, but working with these tiny wires and accessories are a new electrical skill I've been trying to teach myself, so this forum is giving me great reassurance and everyones comments have given me good direction on what to spend 30 hours of youtube research on haha

Traveling till thursday, but guna hook it all up for more permanent install and will post updated pics then

    Thanks again!

Alright; got the fuse tap in and hooked up to the DRL fuse but realized they wouldn’t shut off when I turned off my truck. Just stayed on.

what am I doing wrong, it’s driving me nuts!

Can someone tell me which fuse I’m supposed to tap it into? IMG_5859.jpg IMG_5860.jpg IMG_5861.jpg

The DRL fuse you tapped into is a "hot" fuse. (direct to battery)

Disregard the H16 & 17 connectors, your Taco doesn't have them. It has mx150 connectors.

I’ll be completely honest; I got no clue how to read that or what to make of it…

Battery - fuse - relay - lamps (one side)
Battery - fuse - relay - (coil side) Main Body ECU - ground
You want to tap the green wire to the DRL lamps.
By following what has been posted before, you get green DRL (positive) and Tail.
