I hope I’m posting this in the right place, I have an 05 Tacoma that has a side decal on it when I purchased it. The side decal is fading and peeling in some places. I would like to replace this side decal with an exact copy if possible. How would I know where to begin to find one?

yea, but that’s what makes it unique. I don’t want a “stock” truck. I’m also concerned that the paint has faded over time and it would be obvious once pulled off.

That may be a "custom" job. I would ask around your town and see if anyone does decals.

    Just some stuff...
I thought to myself this should be an easy search because it’s pretty unique. Holy crap! I had no idea there so many Tacoma bed side decals for sale online! That being said I think you might be right about the paint fading. How about a wrap?

If it didn't come from the dealer, try asking the person you bought it from. They may be or know the person that got it done.

Or as was said earlier, go custom.
    Good luck!

Years ago I had a local print shop make custom decals for my snowmobile and had good success. Not sure if that’s an option, but worth mentioning.

You may actually be okay if you remove it, if it was on the hood or roof i’d be concerned. But as a fellow early model SWB owner i’d bet a good detailer, or even yourself could correct the paint. Ofcourse different strokes for different folks and all, if you like it, take detailed pictures and measurements and i’m sure a decal or vinyl shop could hook you up.

Thanks all for your inputs! I'll "shop around" and see if anyone in this small podunk of a town can hook me up. I went into this knowing I'm asking a lot. I purchased the truck like this, not sure when or who applied the decals. I know the area, (Tampa), but that's all. I've even thought of using my airbrush and do some painting, but that is a bit more than I want to do.

I mostly like the metallic red against the metallic blue. I think it makes both POP!

I'll keep searching, and again, thanks!

Now that's funny. I still have my "money pants".

no lift, small tires, car wheels, sticker, step bars, plastic on roof

Thats the definition of stock and not unique.

removed my TRD bedside decals. No issues.

I removed my TuRD stickers on my Gen 2. So many trucks have them it looked custom without.

heat to peel off, WD40 to clean up.
