I guarantee that "guarantee" is just an common expression that people use. Further, I guarantee that when I said "guarantee" in that context, I was not actually offering to buy him a new compressor, should his fail. Guarantee.

Ok, now that I've gotten that out of my system, I shall be moving along now. Carry on and have a great day, gentlemen. And please, no more rude comments. This is TacomaWorld. We have very high standards here :rimshot:.

Did you ever get a straight answer about the extra space there inside your hood where the threaded bolts stick up. I am wondering the same thing.

You either have the space or you don't.
TRD Off road and TRD Pro have an electronic brake controller system that's integrated with the Crawl and special 4 wheel drive modes the other trims that have 4 wheel drive don't have. The electronic system is on the other side near the brake master cylinder.

There should be other plates to mount an air compressor like under a seat, in one of the bed compartments or just keep in in a box or case in the bed under a tonneau cover like I do with my SR5 4X4.

Mounted mine in the passenger side cubby in the bed since I've got the ABS module under the hood as shown in the OP.

That’s where I put mine also, love it.

Unless you are a mall crawler, it’s easy to tell yours is a new install, it’s so clean in there! As I have a sidekick spare fuel tank on that side that partially covers the cubby, I can’t use the regular door so I ended up making a removable cubby cover out of thick plastic to keep the dust out of my bed that enters from inside the fender around the cubby mount. It’s not a big deal if the compressor gets dusty, I just vacuum it once in a while and it’s fine.

It's a new install. I'm kind of picky when it comes to keeping it clean. When I installed it, I had to clean it.
    :annoyed:
