Look into specifically which battery you want to get, different AGM batteries specify different charge voltages. For example my wife's Cherokee from 2017 with the original battery has 13.2-13.8 charging Voltage printed on the label where as other batteries will specify a more hearty 14.0-14.7 Volts. Worst case Ontario, I would email your prospective battery manufacturer and ask.

I changed to AGM batteries in everything I drive in 1998. That was when the OEM flooded cell batteries in my Dodge Cummins died suddenly. Flooded cell batteries tend to die with no warning. That can be serious if you are miles from nowhere. I never returned to "regular" batteries because (in part) I really like perpetually clean battery terminals. It wasn't until Optima moved their red top manufacturing to Mexico that I started to get terminal corrosion.

When one of my cars is going to sit for a while, I put it on a float charger. I have the wiring built in to the Dodge and Pacifica, but have yet to do so on the Tacoma.

For what it's worth, I got six years out of the last pair of Batteries Plus AGM house brand I had on my Dodge by keeping them float charged. This is in a climate where the best of the flooded cell batteries last two years. [edited becuz I can't spel or punktuate.]
