The previous setup on my truck was a 3" lift using a Bilstein 5100 adjustable shock set to zero with a 3" spacer installed on the struts. I'm using a Total Chaos UCA's and at rear suspension used an add a leaf. I've been running my truck with no issues for about 8 years now until last year I noticed that my front tires were wearing so fast in a cupping pattern. I checked the ball joints, and tie rod ends they are all good so I brought my truck to an alignment shop and have it aligned but it did not solve the problem. Now I decided to try replacing my struts using the RC 3"preloaded struts to maintain the same lift on my truck. before I installed the new RC struts I measured the length of the strut and compared it to the old one with the spacer still on it, they are exactly the same in length. After the work has done I put my truck down to the ground and was surprised that the front of my truck lifted around 1.25" higher compared to the previous setup. It seems that the struts were barely compressed down and the control arms were angled down too much. I test drive it and noticed it's a little bit stiff on the first day but after a week it's getting softer and a better ride than the old struts. I keep on measuring the height of the lift every day but as of now it dopped only for 0.25". My main concern is the control arms angle because when I pass a hump that we found in a parking lot of a mall I should roll my truck very slowly otherwise the control arms downward travel is max out and I can hear it bumping. Any ideas to fix this issue? I'm planning to replace the TC UCA's with the SPC before I will bring it to a wheel alignment shop. In my research, SPC UCA's are adjustable and the ball joints can articulate up to 80 degrees while uni-ball can articulate only up to 68 degrees. Will my Idea of replacing the UCA's be reasonable and can help solve the problem? All of your help will be very much appreciated. Thank you all.

I'm currently experiencing the exact same issue. Did the struts ever settle more or did you end up having to make additional changes?
