Hi. A question about mounting a TRD style (same style w/o the TRD emblem and the Toyota price:eek:) wheel under my bed using the hoist. Has anyone done it and if so, how did you modify it to accept the wheel? The existing mounting mechanism is for a generic wheel with a hole in the middle. I bought a wheel and tire to match what's on the truck so I can rotate all 5 and so the spare matches size wise, etc.

I want to put my spare there while driving around town as the box tends to get used on a regular basis so hauling it in and out is a pain. I'll mount it on top of my Diamondback cover when I go off-road/camping so it's easily accessible.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Cheers!

All wheels compatible with your truck have a center bore hole that fits over the hub. Just remove the center cap and you're good to go.

    Well, that seems too simple!!LOL

Soooo, there are no parts or mods I need to buy or do? I guess I’ll have to find another area to overthink.

    Thanks for the help.

Nope, nothing else to buy or modify. Just make sure you put the wheel face up on the hoist so you don't damage the finish.
