It's less Tacoma and more mod
Freshwater stuff is a lot more Hardy. The cost with salt water crap is that you constantly have to be adjusting it and if anything ever goes wrong it all just dies or goes sick and then you have to buy it all again and then hope you get your mixtures right. I'm glad mine is outdoor though so I don't need all the lights and junk

Never having owned/cared for aquarium plants, I learned about the importance of low light intensity at least for the first month or two as the plants acclimate to the tank

10% with strict cycles as I'll be running a low tech/no co2 setup

The snails I incorporate later will keep the algae in check

Finally getting around to replacing the LBJs with new OEM.
Getting rid of the original lbj on one side and an aftermarket from a lbj failure incident a few years ago :anonymous:

    IMG_5097.jpg

Yes I was lazy, cheap and stupid enough to continue driving with an original lbj for years after having one fail.
    Don't be like me

I heard good things about them in the snow. They seam to run a little bit larger than other 265s I have ran. If I have time tomorrow after work I'll put them on the 4runner.

Those things are so fun, glad he's enjoying it!

I want to make a DIY busy board for River when he gets a bit older, but with locks and hinges and stuff...I don't trust myself to make a safe electronic one lol

James and I were discussing that, making a large one with various locks, hinges, etc.

And it's like, holy shit here I'm finding it pleasing just engaging/disengaging those locks and shit myself

The battery one wouldn't be hard for you to do! Everything just gets wired and hot glued to the battery box, and everything makes a complete circuit when a circuit is closed via button press, toggle, etc.

Me I'd probably mess up getting things aligned with the holes I'd drill out on the wood or something

Could ask one of the woodworker members to make ya one; @wilcam47 is my go to for woodworking stuff. Just the template of course.

Is it weird that I'm looking forward to getting an assasin snail or two if by chance, any plants I purchased had hitchhiker snails?

They do a hell of a job taking care of small snails that are considered to be pests.
