First aid kit behind the back seat - this reminds me it needs to be checked for out-of-date or heat damaged items. Arizona is right next to hell on items stored in your truck.

Mine started out simple - the kind that satisfies MSHA minimums if you go on minesites. Mostly a bunch of bandage types and a tourniquet. I re-purposed the tin box with tire stuff and got a bigger Kelty box about 6"x 9"x 12" inside. Put the bandages in there and started a collection...... Thought of all the stuff we used to take care of our boy when he would go to the woods with us - plus some adult add-ons after thinking about it. Tylenol, Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Bismuth tablets, Merthiolate, Triple Antibiotic, Oral Gel, 1% Hydrocortisone creme, Germ-X hand sanitizer and something for poison ivy and burns. "Mechanicals"- like stainless emergency scissors, tick remover, needles and thread, nail clippers, tweezers, magnifier glass........ it can get nuts! Short story is that a trip to the med department with this list will break the bank if you let it. We accumulated the stuff a little at a time.

i tend to focus on military-type major-medical stuff.

    something more like this:
    https://www.amazon.com/RHINO-RESCUE-Tactical-Emergency-Supplies/dp/B0BMG8LXJJ

my reasoning is this: i'm not one to reach for first aid if i have a headache. if i get a cut i'll use a napkin to stop the bleeding, then wrap it in electrical tape. if my first inclination in a situation is to reach for the first aid kit, something extremely serious has happened, and i need to keep the pieces together long enough to get to real medical aid. also, most of that stuff doesn't technically go bad, as long as it stays in a cool/dry place, so it keeps for longer than most other first aid kits as well(ok, technically it expires, but if i just fell off a roof, and my choice is a used garbage bag or a 5-year-expired medical bandage, i'm using the medical bandage)

Usually every nook has something of use. Always seems like you can never have enough things when you venture out. I have had items in my truck for years that are just sitting and ill probably never use. But the one day I take it out, I will.
