What else do I need to buy to complete my suspension?

So I have an 02 Taco and it needs new leaf springs and shocks. So far I believe I'm gonna go with the Bilstein 5100s for front and rear and re-use my coils in the front.

Is this the best place to buy these shocks?
And do I need to buy this bushing and washer kit to go with them?
Do I need to buy a new top hat? And if so where?

I've seen a thread where someone bought this bushing and washer kit and they weren't the right size or something. Not sure where else I should be buying the kit I need and how many bushings/washers I need to fully replace what is on my truck now.

Now for the leaf springs, should I just go ahead and fully replace them or try an add a leaf pack?
If I should fully replace them, should I go with or ?

It looks like the OME kit provides the bushings for the leaf springs while the Toytec does not. These are the two leaf spring pairs that I have found that are comfortably affordable.

Also, once I find out what I need to buy should I buy and put on the leaf springs first and then the shocks? Or save up and buy/put on everything at once?

    Thank you in advance :)

So another option many use is general springs (for leaf springs). Those are just for stock height though. If you want a lift, then go with OME, don't do the add-a-leaf.

I personally used Toytec for my 5100s and was happy with them and their customer service.

You shouldn't need that bushing and washer kit (they should come with the 5100s). But you do need a new top hat (48609-35010). I'd look for aftermarket options for the top hats because they look to be around $80-90 each for OEM Toyota ones

Oh and for your last question I'd just put everything on all at once, and then go get an allignment.

Thank you, but I don't believe the 5100s include the bushings and washers. I saw in the description that it says it isn't included. Here

And the reviews on the bushing/washer kit say that they are the wrong size

And do I need to replace the top hat or can I just re-use the ones I have?
If not where could I find aftermarket top hats?

That's strange, because I just helped my Dad put 5100s on Mom's 4runner and those came with the bushings, as did my 5100s a couple years back.

I'd suggest calling whichever shock supplier you choose to go with and asking if the 5100s include those bushings (still betting they do, because they're basically part of the assembly).

You can reuse your top hats. If they look to be in okay shape, go ahead and do so. I was pretty much assuming they were in as bad of shape as your leafs (assuming they were original).

Here's some aftermarket top hats going for $25 each (way less than OEM):

Are you looking for a lift? If not, save yourself some trouble and go with the assembled set, makes life a lot easier. They bolt right in.

Yeah, I kinda want a lift as well as it would be cheaper to re-use the coils I have

I'm about in the same boat, want to replace the rear leafs springs on my 215k+ '02 PreRunner TRD. Has General Springs cleaned up their act any? Last time I did a search on this site I came up with less-than-desirable reviews on that company (I believe they've changed hands).
