Sadly mine used to give me 25s all day (420-460 miles per tank). Dumb me threw on slightly larger/heavier tires and now I'm doing 19... plus the winter with short 0.9 mile drop offs I'm in like 17mpg range now...

Probably the best explaination I've seen on all of TW regarding fuel economy.

Me, looking around for who tf asked you.

If you don't like it, don't post. Simple.

Sure you can get 20 mpg on 37's... just go 50 mph on flat ground. You will get it. Go 75 on hilly interstate? 12-15 mpg. It is not hard to calculate but I trust physics more than I trust a random post that gives me hope.

I usually get on average 21 to 22 driving around here locally. I don’t believe that because the truck is anything special or it’s been blessed by the unicorns. It’s early because of the rural two lane roads, in the speed limits being 55 and 60.

If you want to get better, a few mileage with a Tacoma, the best thing to do is to slow down. On the interstate, driving 77, I get 17-19

So we all got together and came up with a plan. Every week or so we come up with a new thread like this just to irritate people like you that get so damn bent out of shape about others discussing this kind of stuff.
there are quite a few topics on TW that I could complain about. There are quite a few topics that I could care less about. When I see those topics, I just move on and let people be.

Maybe you would be just a little bit happier if you could just learn to keep your comments to yourself, and not stir the pot. Just because you don’t like the topic, it doesn’t mean other people don’t.

I hope you find happiness today. It seems like you’re having a bad run of it.

    Haha.

Can we all agree that most 3Gs average 17-18 MPGs real word driving.

I just dont use the mpg screen anymore. I found I was obsessing over it when it was always there to see. Now I just leave the miles to empty up, which lies to me since the light comes on with almost 3 gal left in the tank.

Your location makes a difference. When I lived in Arizona my truck got a consistent 22 mpg. I moved to Knoxville and the mileage dropped to 17 or 18.

I've actually found I often get better mpgs in hilly or mountain areas (depending on circumstances). Yes you burn more when climbing, but you're also coasting a lot more and typically not using cruise which is also a mpg robber.

I average about 18-19mpg. My commute is 17 miles on the interstate but with construction its mostly very slow/stop and go. Might as well be city driving at that point lol

Took a weekend trip on back roads at 60-65mph and averaged 22mpg.

I get 14MPG with 35's. I didnt buy it for the gas mileage. I have an eco diesel for that.

My Tacoma gets decent mileage, it's the driver that ruins everything.

I can get ~18 mpg @ 70 mph, ~21 mpg @ 60 mph, and ~24 mpg @ 50 mph. Those are best case: no stops, no hills, no wind. Realistically I get about 18 in mixed traffic.
