Help with Grill trim replacement

Guys,
Can someone with experience please give me some advice, i need a new grill trim bezel and although there are hundreds of these on ebay they all call out chrome finish (even though they are all white in the photos). i have asked the sellers and they dont clarify if they are white or not they just say they are chrome. Is the intent with these that the end user has to paint them the color of choice? wondering too why they are all white in photos but the description says chrome? i dont think all the photos and monitor colors can be that off. any help appreciated.

anyone know where you can get these in prepainted colors?

Wow, Tacoma brother!! you totally solved my issue. THANKS SOOOO MUCH. I had googled around for this from the dealer but the ones i found were complete with grill and way more expensive! i really appreciate the help, i owe you.

 

that one says 2018, mine is 2016. i just asked them if they could get a 2016 or if they are compatible. i would think they are except the internal surround may not fit. the inside grill should fit though if i cant find another solution.

I’m finding this part number for 2016/17. As you found out, it’s more expensive because it includes the actual grille in addition to the surround. Not sure why that changes.

ok, thanks at least i have that as an option. I emailed the first link to see if they could comment on it fitting a 2016 or if they could get one. Do you think if i ordered one of the dozen or so white ones on ebay that it would show up as chrome? i have sent messages to like 10 of them, they all respond back with clearly asian language and just dont understand what i am asking. I have even tried USA only searches and they do as well. I have learned the USA/north America filter means nothing on ebay. thanks again!

 

hum, it seems 2018 to 2023 is called out as part number 53101-04050-AO
2016 to 2023 is called out as part number 53101- 04100-AO
i wonder if there is a way to find out the difference. The top one might fit in some cases.
the internal grill fitting should be the same

 

oh wait, sorry, you said this part 53100-04500-A0. That sounds more correct, i think i got bad info on the 04100 as it looks like something else when i search for more detail.
