Im from Chicago, there its either called a "beef" if it has sliced beef(and may or may not have cheese, usually sliced parmesan) or its a "sub" if it has literally anything else in the bun.

 He's definitely a good dude and knowledgeable. I actually stopped in there yesterday and talked to him about sending in my Supercharger for a rebuild.

    Hey fellas!

trying to help my sister out. Does anyone here have a wireless box from COX? They’re saying she must change her modem to allow the wireless box to connect to the internet.
Like 99% of the US, she has WiFi mesh in the house, and doesn’t want to change let alone have another $25 a month is charges.

can she continue to use her mesh, or is it a proprietary unit?

it was hard to get a straight answer from India

It was several years back, but I was able to buy a compatible unit online instead of renting from COX.
A lot cheaper than paying them, paid off in less than 6 months.

But no clue how stuff works now.

I use the small tower they gave me. It does NOT allow my older Apple cmputer in because of an older browser but my newer MBP with newer browser works fine. Apparently they have new "security restrictions".

As to an external modem, this tower wants to do the wireless and only has 2 ether-plugs, but I am sure within the "app" (yes it is an annoying phone ap to configure) you can delay the wireless processing to the external modem.

Technology forum may have people who know how to "bridge" (the mode may be "bridge" for the Cox tower). Or how to bypass a new tower ... maybe?

Most likely they just want her to upgrade to a docis3.0 or higher. You can use any modem and router with Cox. Their hardware is terrible.

Any mesh system should work with an aftermarket modem. One of the mesh boxes needs to be the router of the house.

April 16, Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area becomes free of SxS and sand buggies, and is fee-free.

Here is one of the dunes, and the tiny white is my truck at the base of a dune I climbed.

I'm a noob when it comes to anything computer or internet related so.... Not sure if it relates, but I had the same issues with xfinity. They wanted me to rent or buy all their shit and I told them to f off. I bought a netgear cm1000 modem and an eero mesh system and I continuously get higher speeds than what I'm really supposed to. I don't know if this is good but I know it's better than anything I've ever had....

Oooh, so is that a seasonal thing or a permanent change? I've wanted to go out there for a while now. Take some pictures, make a star wars reference, and leave.:p

Summer hours and rates. Oct 1 the SxS and fee ($35/week) returns. But the sand is burning hot come summer, so may not be quite the bargain for you if heat is too much.

I just wanna get a video of the 4runner rolling by over the dunes with the Jabba sail barge music blasting. :yay:

I love how John Williams made all this amazing classical style music for incredible soundtracks and then he just busts out a freaking banger of a... shit I don't even know what genre this would even be? Funk EDM?

Even late August you may be one of 2 cars there. Best have a plan to save yourself from the blowing sand to avoid being swallowed (and digested for 1000 years) by the sand worm.

Was pretty hesitant about buying a Chinese head unit for the x runner.... but I'm pretty damn impressed. Got the Joying 10.1 ultra slim and this thing rocks. 20240405_101052.jpg
