    Yep as the video states:

    -Only 54% commonality with other Toyota 2.4's

    -Block is not the same

    -Different cooling system

    -Different turbo


    They didn't dive that deep but I wouldn't be surprised if the crankshaft is beefed up for truck duty too. When this was a clean sheet engine design, they probably knew it would be going in a ton of vehicles including the Tacoma. Kind of a common practice for OEM's in today's market.
