Well I need some help here. I had my windshield replaced a month or so ago under insurance and it has been anything but easy. To put it simply Safelite won’t be touching any of my vehicles again. Amongst other issues, when they replaced the windshield they managed to cut the driver side roof drip molding at the front. They have spent the last 4 weeks trying to find the correct part. I have not seen the replacement part they are getting but after 2 trips across town and waiting both times only to be told the part was wrong, I’m losing my patience. I have been told now that they don’t know what’s going on or how to fix it. They are saying the front mounting clip on the replacement molding they are getting from Toyota is different than what’s on my truck and they won’t work. I suspect maybe a mid year production change or possibly a supercession over the years that has changed the front mounting point. Hoping I can get some insight from the parts experts here. It’s a 2020 double cab, Mexico built in September of 2019. I can provide the vin if needed. Thanks, Evan.
