Throttle position sensors keep failing

    Just joined to try to diagnose the issue. Have searched and founds lots on tps but none relate. My issue started with a hesitation/stutter/jerk while at a steady speed, neither on or off throttle, just hovering on peddle. did some research and came up with TPS, has also thrown a cel code for tps, checked with meter and it was defiantly faulty after only 570,000km. Have replaced twice with different brands, neither original Toyota and runs great for awhile but each has failed and repeats the stutter after 2 or 3 months. Still drivable but looses fuel mileage. Starting to lean to ecm?? Any ideas? TIA

    I've had a similar experience with regards to the "hesitaion/stutter/jerk" using non-OEM TPS's. Finally went back to OEM and no issues since. Below are from my maint. log. Current mileage is 400,600 miles.

    1/8/2015 TPS Sensor 288640mi
    8/31/2015 TPS Sensor 296814mi
    9/25/2017 TPS OEM Sensor 320200mi

    Genuine = $162, good for 340,000 miles.

    Knockoff = $26, good ~18,000 miles.

    One of these is much cheaper, and it ain't the knockoff one lol
