Ugh man especially this time of year i notice people forgetting their headlights a lot more...maybe because of DST. I always think of flashing them but more often than not they don't get it. I've even pulled up next to a car one time on my motorcycle, flashing my own brights and pointing at their headlights and they just flipped me off lol.

Ohh I can 100% relate with the amount of times people treat me like an asshole because I tell them to put their lights on in the rain or at night. I even do it when I'm on foot. I walk my dog late sometimes because of my work schedule, and sometimes it's actually impossible to see a dark-colored car due to the conditions if their lights aren't on.

I firmly believe it's because car dash lights automatically turn on in dark weather. It's wild to me that there isn't a DOT regulation requiring the dash lights to be linked to the headlights. Or that there isn't another one requiring automatic headlights to turn on when the wipers are activated. It's far more of a safety hazard than ones requiring back up cameras.

I too walk my dog late sometimes due to work. Normally not an issue except now during DST when people are leaving work right around twilight. Combine that with the early gen hybrids that don't make that whining sound to let you know a vehicle is moving, as well as lots of cramped city streets with cars parked all along them, and you have quite a few close calls lol.

    1. Texting, scrolling, or watching movies/TV on cell phone while driving & being totally oblivious to traffic.
    2. Cruising in the left lane and not moving over to allow people to pass. Side bar, I was in Kentucky 2 weeks ago and Kentuckians were great at NOT hogging the left lane. Soon as I crossed back into TN and NC, people were back to hogging up the left lane.
    3. Driving with hazard lights on in the rain.

You must not have stayed very long in KY. This state people ride in the left lane everywhere. I swear there isn't any cops in KY.

Divers who tailgate you thru a school zone. The speed is limit is 25 mph and there are children all over the area. Everybody's out there, school personal, crossing guards, parents, even a cop parked nearby. Yet there's some clown hard on your ass like he's jockeying for the pole position at Indy.

My favorite thing is when your going the speed limit in the right lane and you see a truck coming up so you try to get over only to get
cockblocked out of nowhere by Kim and her van of rascals who decide to speed up perfectly blocking you from getting over.

Seriously nothing infuriates me more than that on the road hahahaha

Jackass in California who will cut you off just to slam the brakes and go off an exit ramp when there’s literally miles of empty space behind you.

I immediately judge peoples driving ability by how they maintain speed and their braking habits. Cant stand people that seem to be heavy gas then brake because their getting too close to the same car that they've been gassing up to and braking from for several miles.

Obviously all the dangerous speeding/ lane changes/ and following distances piss me off, but Im really at my limit with people that force their way into your space expecting you to brake to avoid the collision.

I got one I've been noticing more and more lately as I've been taking some road trips recently. Seems to be mostly prevalent in SoCal, though I'm sure it happens everywhere:

people who can't seem to take a slight curve on a highway/freeway without heavy braking, as if they can't see around the curve (they can). Notice it the worst in LA because it backs up traffic exponentially.

This one doesn't really affect me or anyone, but people who can't seem to maintain their lane position. IE swerving around within their lane. my guess is likely due to distractions/phone usage.

Absolutely spot on. Part of what I was touching on in my post. I dont mind people being safe or not being capable drivers, but this shit is part of what causes traffic and stop and go type traffic. People by and large cant navigate a slight bend in the road and maintain their speed.

I honestly don’t mind people driving at whatever speed so long as it’s not going to cause a wreck, but what I do get annoyed with is people that can’t be bothered to drive with a purpose, then all the sudden they have to be in front of everyone only to slow back down and fuck shit up.

This pickup driver who I’ve seen drive like this before did this the other day yet again. Can’t be bothered, then all the sudden he’s zooming up our asses in the right lane, cuts around 3 cars just to jump back in the lane ahead to immediately exit, then proceeds to get on the brakes on the off ramp while everyone exiting behind him that he cut off is like wtf including myself. Rest of the way he was barely going the speed limit. Makes no sense to me.

Its annoying as hell, but has something to do with how the mind works I guess. Most people arent as focused on driving. To some its just an afterthought of something their doing, far from anything important to them.
