    ... hard to tell if there's nothing in the picture to provide scale


    Around here, you're more likely to see Sharp Shinned Hawks... for Cooper's you gotta go into the woods.
    50 years ago, the Pennsylvania Game Commission was concerned about the low numbers of Cooper's Hawks.
    I remember several articles about it in their publication Pennsylvania Game News.
    Cooper's have made a big comeback.
