Yesterday I attacked the pool planting bed. I removed 4 creeping junipers, raked out all the old mulch and amended the soil with 10 cubic feet of garden soil. Today I planted liriopi and Hawaiian Ti plants. Had to replace the pump in the fountain too. IMG_3223.jpg

That left me feeling sorry for the junipers so I made a bed long the side of the house and replanted them.
    IMG_3224.jpg

Put down 11 bags of mulch between the two areas. I’m so doggone tired I can’t wait to go back to work tomorrow and rest.

    Evening all::

:yay: Just got done bolting the Scag back together, it was surging and everything I checked out on the puter said a blocked low speed jet would cause that. Removed the carb and ripped it apart, sure enough one of the low speed jets was blocked solid, little poking with the fine wire that I removed from a twist wrap and some spraying with carb cleaner and I got it open, reassembled it with some new e-bay gaskets and it fired right up and the surging was gone.
MIRACLES DO HAPPEN , wonder what a dealer would have charged, probably a couple hundred!
And if I would have run into problems, I know who I would have asked!!! :D:rolleyes:

Nice work! But get yourself a torch nozzle cleaner. They do all kinds of good stuff besides just cleaning torch nozzles. My Amazon search came up with an example, but you have to buy 4:

Was going to get the torch nozzle cleaners if the twist tie wire didn't get the job done, those low speed jets have some really small holes in them.
Funny, I never had a need for torch nozzle cleaners, might pick up a set now just in case, hopefully I won't need to use them anytime soon!

I remember Dad smoking a small glass windowpane to watch a solar eclipse... I was 5 or 6 at the time. Noone could see squat through it. Now we have TV to watch it. Not really that interested in it. It did bring out the nuts. True to form, they will seize every opportunity.

I’ll be so glad when this eclipse is over so I stop hearing about it. I mean I find it kind of interesting but the news is just beating it to death. How times do people have to be told not to stare directly into the sun?

    Good idea!
Dad would put a tiny hole in one end of a shoe box and we would hold it up so we could see the eclipse on the opposite end inside the shoe box.
Another cloudy day today. Not much chance to see the eclipse. Guess I’ll have to wait until 2044 to see one again…not likely I’ll make it to 96 yo. Don’t think I even want to.
Kettlebell day! My week to cook, so menu planning and grocery shopping day.
Let’s make today special because tomorrow may never come! Have a great one folks!

I like your accent pot in the garden bed. You are a good man to relocate the Junipers.

Nice fix. Scag mowers are really good.

More than 1 or 2, I am sure.

Good morning. Feels good to be back from the beach. I was able to do everything my sister wanted completed and install a ground fault outlet in the bathroom for her. She just had a powder room, on the first floor, converted into a full bath and wanted the extra protection when someone is using the outlet as a hair dryer. Funny though, the circuit breaker box had the circuit identifies as a GFI but I could not locate a GFI outlet on the circuit. Too much partying this past weekend and I slept in this morning. It is off to the gym them think about dinner.

I have been running Tru Fuel for about 4 years now. Lowes stopped offering a 10% discount if you bought 4 cans. It was nice while it lasted, a 10% discount on the quantity and another 10% off because of my veteran status. I drain the fuel from all of our small engine tools and have not had any additional carb problems since. Enough other problems but not carb problems.

Good Morning Everyone , have a great day.

We will probably not see much of the eclipse they say we'll have a 67% eclipse in our area. However it will need to clear up, light rain. My brother called me about Erie's total eclipse preparation. He was saying some hotels are charging a thousand a night. Stupid. I suggest he rent some of his wooded space for a couple tents. Free , but a gallon of water and a 5 gallon pail for waist for 200.

My house was set up like that the breaker was the GFI. But no GFI outlet. After I had my stab lock Cutler Hammer panel replaced, that had to changed to meet code. I did the outlet, but I had a electrician do the panel.
