Get the Tacoma. Clearly from all your posts this review is pretty useless. Your negative bias of all the other trucks you test drove is glaring. Good for you for at least taking them for a spin and kicking some tires, but I see zero value in your write up based on your follow-up posts. just my 02.

No financing deals - market rates - in my country - 6.49% APR for 84 months - no manufacturer/dealer discounts - dealers are selling at MRSP - no discounting/dealing - they are trying to compete price wise being almost parity with the Taco (and smoking waccy tabaccy).

My '10 Frontier Pro-4x has been by far my most reliable vehicle. I've owned several Toyotas including an '06 Tacoma.

Don’t get your feelings all in a bunch, but just about every criteria you state for ruling out other trucks has zero to do with a test drive and is either based on your past experience or anecdotal. Tell me how that’s useful to others? Example… “Because it’s GM”… alrighty then.

Quick question, what is the difference between a stop sale and Quality Control hold?

Stop Sale has legal ramifications. QCH is self imposed by manufacturers.

Takata air bag recall resulted in stop sales.

I'm not scared of Nissans that come with regular automatics (Frontier and Pathfinder, Armada, most Infinitis) - would never have one with the JATCO CVT.

Also... not sure if relevant, but if you like the GM 2.7T, it comes with a 5/100 powertrain warranty in the Silverado and Sierra (vs. only 5/60 on the Colorado/Canyon). That's kind of a big deal, IMO, since it includes the transmission. Personally I think the 2.7T is a pretty cool engine.

The incentives are back on the full size GMs, like upper $30k range for an ext cab 4WD Sierra Pro with a few options. The low trim ones have the old/basic interior, but it does have LED headlights and AA/CP.

Wow, why didn't you tell me this back when I bought my 2007 Titan, or my 2021 Titan?
My 2007 is nearly 18 years old, still have it. Been as reliable as an early 90's Camry 4 banger.
When exactly should I expect the POS transmission to break?
And we're on a road trip up and down the West coast, including off-roading in our 2021 Pro-4x, are you telling me we won't make it home?

I'm not mad at you, it's mass ignorance like yours that allows me to seek out a good deal. As you can see, I don't care about resale value, I still have my 2007. TBH, it's low resale value is why I didn't sell it.

We also have a 2020 Corolla HB that stranded my wife at work with an electronic water pump failure at 18k miles.....so.....there goes the presumption of flawless Toyota reliability.

My 2016 Titan has been quite reliable for me, not sure exactly why Nissan trucks dont sell better, they are def as reliable as all the american ones that fly off the lots

My take on the Titans was that they got horrible gas mileage. Not saying that they do (I have no idea), thats just the word on the street around here.
Fwiw...my next test drive (hopefully years from now) will start with a ProX.

And rust. They tend to rust bad here in the midwest.
