Hello I just ordered new wheels (17 x7 with a 4mm offset) for my tacoma and I’m not sure how big of a size I could go. I would like to get some KO2’s. Pic has the old wheel and tire on and other pic is the new wheels. Any help would be great. The old wheel was 17 x 8.5 and the tire was 265 70 17. I want as big of a tire as possible thanks.

What total size would you recommend? Pretty not really spun up on tire sizes

Anything is possible with enough cutting and hammering.

Lol got some helpful responses hahaha.

there is a lot of info if you search but seems a 255/80r17 might fit with minimal trimming. Which is a 33” tire.

If you don’t want to trim I would stick to a 32” tire. A 285/70r17 pry will need trimming although it’s only a 32.7” tire because of its width.

But it seems to vary with truck.

Not getting a lot of useful answers is because the question has been asked thousands of times. Asking means you’ve done no research

The search engine on the site is not always the best way to find results. Try a Google search with the terms you want then add in tacomaworld.com and you should have enough reading to last you for a month or so. Your question is somewhat like going to a major city and asking "Where is a good place to eat?". There are a lot of variables to your question depending on your current set-up, if you want to trim parts on your truck, install a lift, etc.,

slight trimming had to be done to mine to fit the 285/70R17 (17x9 wheel, -4 offset, & 3/2 lift). Speedometer calibrator also needs to be added with a tire that size to account for the tire rotation. With 275s you shouldn't need to do any of that.
