Mine is 4x4 and I don't use/need it much, but a 4x4 has much better resale, especially here in Oregon.

Most on Tacomaworld are a little obsessed with Tacomas and having all their possible uses. Poll numbers are probably high on 4-wheel drive owners.

I live in the mid-west. Between dispersed camping, the occasional off-road trip and mid-west winters, 4x4 is nearly a must have.

Meso spare fuse holder. Aluminum gas cap holder. Genuine Toyota bed lights. Bed molle racks. Ammo case storage under hood. In-bed spare tire. Automatic underhood lights. Gooey glurp on frame.
4x4. I tried out 4x4 and 4 low in a large vacant lot, under the watchful eyes of two stray cats.

Make sure you guys turn the 4x4 once in a while and put some miles on it to keep the parts moving.

Have a ‘23 Taco off-road. Sits in the barn, so far. Also have a 2000 Pathfinder all rigged up for NW Montana mountains. Some day I will try the 4x4 feature in my Taco.

Poll is inherently biased, due to the probability that a larger percentage of 2WD owners are not weird enough to go online and talk about their 2WD Tacoma.

There are a few exceptions, mainly the excessively weird that bought a 2WD on purpose, and still go off road.

It's like that annoying friend that shows up for a mountain bike trail ride with his steel framed fixie. That kind of weird asshole. That's the guy that will see and answer your poll.

Nah, mine is 4WD. As I stated, it was merely a question of curiosity. I really don't care. I see a lot of 3rd gen Tacoma's in my area that are 2WD which raised the question.

    Not looking to bash anyone.
