Hey all, I got this 2020 TRD Off Road pre owned with Bilstein 6112s up front and 5100s in the rear. Ive always been a car guy, this is my first truck so I'm still learning. It's always bugged me that it looks like the front sits quite a bit higher then the rear, I've always just chalked it up to the slant in my driveway playing tricks on me. I decided to finally look into it the other day and I believe it has the stock leaf springs, no add a Leaf, nor a block?

If my suspicions are correct what add a Leaf would you recommend to level the back with the 6112s?

Truck looks fine in the pic to me.

And shocks by themselves do not create lift.

If the front is higher, you either have non OE springs, springs installed on a spring seat above the 0 height, a spacer, or maybe some combo thereof.

The choice of spring seat on the shock creates lift by compressing the spring, creating some preload and compromising overall travel of the shock.

But this is a suspension thing. Not a truck thing. There is nothing special about Tacoma suspension design, it's quite basic. Double wishbone coil-over-shock IFS and leaf springs holding a solid rear.

The second photo looks like the shock is broken. Maybe just the camera angle?

Have you measured ground to fender flares on your front and back? I am 36.5 inches in the back and 35 inches in the front all stock Access Cab

like Bill said it is probably your front 6112 that is causing the rear to look lower. Check to see which setting the spring collar is set at. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/bilstein-6112-notch-settings.685345/ Post #3 has a picture of the spring collar setting relative lift height. Check for markings on the spring as well, you may have a higher spring rate spring installed.

From there you can determine if you want to lower the front to level the truck or lift up the back, a relatively cheap option will be to add an Add-a-leaf which should get you 1.5". If that brings your rear too high you can raise up the front by adjusting the spring collars to a higher setting.

It does look a little high in the front. Just get a block or add-a-leaf for the rear. Nothing crazy, just an inch or so

Does look a touch nose high. Measure first, but I'm guessing a 1" block will do the trick, which you can do in your driveway in 30 minutes. An aal is going to make your ride more harsh and is more work to install.

No rear lift and likely more than a 1" lift in the front bc of the bro lean.

Just to confirm, you don't have weight in the back do you? Otherwise baby lean and depending on your mechanical know how, I'd lean with leafs instead of blocks if you either plan on carrying anything or want a firmer.

As a car dude (dumped hondas, bmws, 240s) I find the rear end of my DCLB TRDOR too damn soft but I have a fiberglass shell, cooler/slide combo and some misc stuff in the back which is around 300lbs or so since day one. I've got ome lift packs waiting to go in but saving up for also a 6112/5100 or 5160 combo.

    Front looks higher to me.
I prefer a bit more rake. Throw a cheap 1 in block on the back.
