Form tailights

Just installed this week. Fit and finish are excellent IMHO.

 

I've had the same lights on my truck for a year now and still love them, they're not new. Mine have ZERO problems after a year and still super bright. Mine are also smoked but they aren't as dark as they seem in the pictures here. Its a bit more transparent in real life, I think, I'm not a fan of super smoked stuff.

 

I hope that they are better quality than the MESO tails.
The turn indicators in mine intermittently don't work.
So I put the stock tails back in.
Still no word from MESO.

 

Got these tail lights in from MG Motorsports...For some reason I do not have a start-up sequence. Anyone else experience this?

 

Did you ever find a solution to this?

I purchased these on tacoma lifestyle. I installed them and the start up sequence didn’t come up either. I went onto their instagram and found someone who commented with the same issue and Tacoma lifestyle commented back saying that the sequence should start up every time you cycle the lights all the way and all the way back on. I did try that and it worked. I usually run my lights on auto and the sequence doesn’t come up unless I manually switch them off and back to auto, which is a bummer.

Unless my units are defective? I was under the impression that the sequence would be whenever the truck was started.

 

Their support provided zero solutions and said their engineers would look into it. That was months ago and they haven’t provided any sort of update. Not very happy with them.

 

Damn. I sent their customer support an email but now I’m doubtful they’ll respond. Aren’t they around here on the forums?

 

Form lights are mainly white-labeled/rebranded Vland Chinese products, sold under the Form brand domestically imported by Diode Dynamics. If it is a product issue, I'd speculate there is a low chance of any engineering resources being employed by Vland in China to resolve the issue for a white labeled product resold under another brand name.

 

I understand now that it probably can’t be an issue that can be fixed, but now it’s more so the fact that on social media it made it seem that the start up was whenever the car was on, and not when the headlights were turned all the way and off. I don’t even think I can return as the items have to be uninstalled, unopened, or unused. And I had to install them in order to figure out the start up sequence didn’t work as I thought it would.

 

Thanks for that info, I liked the way the ARs looked (older sequential version) but not the price.

 

I called their number on their website and it took awhile for them to send their first email.

 

@tacomalifestyle when are you gonna have a sale on the 3rd led brake light ? I’ve been eyeballing it pretty hard but can’t justify 80 for it .

 

Does anyone know if the start up sequence work on 2019s and under where it's not equipped with automatic lights
