Does this really need a thread, in the 4g Tacoma forum?

I don’t know, it looks alright. I still like the 5th gen better. I love the idea of a hybrid setup

Looks same, has similar engine. I believe yes they are similar and needs thread since people who like Tacoma are also familiar with 4runner.

They used to share same engine way back then too. Except in this case its 4cyl potato under the hood.

If the 4 cylinder is a potato what does that make the weaker outgoing v6?

Prefer the 5th gen also, but will have to wait and see in person. Lexus GX550 still has my heart

Are you saying the 4 cylinder is not more powerful than the v6?

    I mean, there’s literally a 4Runner thread…

I know, makes too much sense.

I too miss the days of a big block 454 putting out 230 HP and 370 lbs of torque, much more superior to these weak ass turbo 4’s.

Yes, I am saying that 4cyl turbo lawmowner will never have as much pull and raw power as V6 or V8 does. Regardless of what you see on paper

I actually like the looks of it! I also wish it had a V8 though.

Now that would be different story. But we can't have V6s and V8s anymore due to emission laws.. That's why I dont blame it on manufacturers that they are forced to down size engines. While rich fatties fly jets every hour from city to city , spreading more pollution than prob 100x trucks together if not more.

BTW China accounts for like 30% of world pollution.

I watched TRD Jon's video of it, apparently it will still be made in Japan.

Also, why does the 4runner trd pro not have the isodynamic seats, but the tacoma trd pro does?

Notice how much rear seat space the 4runner has.
