    Hello TW!

Newish Tacoma owner here, kinda. Was daily driving a Focus ST when it was totaled by a drunk driver, which freaked me out as I was planning on taking the 240sx (ST was blocking it that night) to pick up my then girlfriend (240sx feels like driving in a tin can).

Always wanted to buy a Taco, so I purchased a 2008 Tacoma TRD OR and sold the 240sx while I search for a GR86 for MSRP (took over a year to find my desired package + color + MSRP).

Shortly after purchasing the Taco, I was able to find a deal on a 3rd gen TRD wheels with new tires for $450. I also got the overfenders resprayed as the clearcoat was peeling pretty bad.

I put the Taco on the backburner as I got my GR86 but have been working on it more lately. Installed OEM 3rd gen Bilsteins + 3/8 spacer + 1" rear aluminum blocks and also scored a Relentless Fab rear bumper for $450.

Right now, looking for deals to swap for the facelift front end. Would love to replace the driver side bed + a respray down the line. Other than that, I'm really enjoying driving it!

I was pretty active on the Focus ST forum and would like to be active here, except that I'm finding that because this is an older platform, there are a lot of good, older discussions (which is neat!). Used info from older posts to change the Front/Rear differential and transfer case oil.

    Here's how it sits now:

If you don't mind sharing what did you get for the 240? My first car was a 5-speed '95 240sx in Super Black. Bought it with 30k on the clock for about $9k in 1998.

    Welcome aboard!

I see you have penchant for “warmer” colors. Both vehicles look awesome

I really like the color matched Volk badges. You are obviously very detail-oriented, and I can appreciate that.

I sold it for $13K in 2022. Had 106k miles (Original engine + Transmission, flawless interior). Was a really fun car! It was originally Champagne Gold and I had it resprayed to Championship White (was actually suppose to buy a Championship White S2k before getting it haha).

Haha my first three cars were actually blue! Had a Crystal Blue Miata, 8th Gen Civic Si that I plastidipped dark blue, then a Focus ST that was blue.

Always wanted a red car and now I have two!

Hell yeah man really fun car. I abused that thing like any 16 year old might and it never gave me any trouble.

Working on a lien delete for my title…..
    Welcome!

3rd Gen wheels look great on your ‘08. These wheels are my favorite factory wheels, faux beadlocks look good as well. Awesome heritage grille too, spicy!

Love the weapons cache in the bed….

Have you considered mounting a .50 Cal back there??

A .50 cal would be more fitting on a Hilux!
