Im on a journey to replace all the clamps/fasteners in this engine bay with zinc hardware and im stuck on valve cover bolts. Does anyone know where i can find detailed info on the oem specs of this bolt? Id really like to be sure of what particular strength rating it should be, loctite/torque specs, length and pitch size… so far ive deduced 10mm and 1.0 pitch… flanged? Flat and lock? idk these things are so rusted

Maybe im being excessive and should just use whatever bolts fit but im a little insane

    any help appreciated bros

Im sure someone here will know the specifications. Personally Ive found local ace hardware to have the best on hand assortment of good higher grade bolts. If you dont get an answer, take it off and get it matched up. The ones supplied to the big box hardware stores HD/Lowes are the shit ones that youre worried about.

have you tried loosening that bolt at all? I am trying desperately to recall the brand spray I use for such things but its escaping me. Almost driving me mad.

McMaster Carr is pretty useful as well for various machined parts. Def saving that site as it looks way easier to navigate.

holding plastic/composite valve cover, definitely grade 12.9 :p Dang 2010 and they look like that, should get some fluid film or crown coating or something on that truck. The FSM has all you need for torque values and can be found out there.
