Thise damn Mexican made trucks that are the exact same quality as the same American made counterparts. Weird.

not the 2023 Tacoma that I just sold. It must’ve been put together by a drunk in Mexico. No excuses. My other vehicle, a Honda was assembled in Ohio and had no quality control issues.

“Just sold”. July 2023 isn’t exactly just sold.

To be fair 8 months ago is pretty recent, the Tacoma has lost its edge IMO - Toyota in trouble with this one at this price. I expect major incentives down the road

Yea, but nightstrike has been trolling since his third gen purchase. If it were me, I would have sold the mother and moved on by now.

Yes I did buy it June or July 2023 but sold it this past Friday. Put 9,000 miles on it. I never questioned its reliability but was disappointed with a couple of things- that i frankly overlooked because I was buying a “Toyota”.

Think about it. it's like Apple Products. if they had every option from the jump it wouldn't keep selling. have you noticed a trend with the 3rd gen? everything it didn't have in 2016 it had in 2023. mostly.... heated seats, power seats, blind spot monitoring... front facing camera.. TSS.. the list goes on. they will have additional upgrades in years to come to keep selling these trucks. look at the 4R. nothings really changed except a facelift, power/heated seats and apple CarPlay.. leather seats.. blah blah. you get it.

Remember when BMW was doing a monthly pay plan for heated seats, surprised more companies didn't jump that plan. Happy those trucks are sitting on the lots. Bring those prices back to reality.

I can say that I was contemplating purchasing a new Pro, but after seeing these prices on sports and off roads, I will be sticking with my 21 tacoma for a very long time- even when it is time to purchase a replacement, the combination of un-necessary fluff (ie: power tailgate? electric parking brake?) & Toyota’s greed has tarnished their credibility in my eyes and I will be more open to other brands.

If a new midsized truck consumer, non Tacoma enthusiast, goes comparison shopping among other brands I doubt they would buy a Tacoma at these prices. A high level trimmed, more refined Colorado can be had for the same price as a stripped SR5. So I think they lose new buyers, alienate enthusiasts with turboed lawnmower engines while pricing out Toyota loyalists. Time will tell but I think Toyota made ALOT of mistakes here.

I hope they turn the dial back quicker. I have been trying to like the new Ford Tremors, but hoping Toyota gets into gear heading into 2025. I am sure they will learn quick when's sales plummet.

I think Toyota has forgotten its core Tacoma customer- you know- the ones that made it successful to begin with….

Yeah that’s why they can’t sell a truck anymore

the Tacoma was always more expensive at a given trim level. Hell, the first gens were panned in magazines because the s-10 ZR2 was cheaper and sooo much better.

Toyota better figure it out quickly or they'll no longer outsell all other midsized trucks by such a huge margin.
