    Whats up folks.

so I'am scheduled to pickup an interm RTT tent from inspired overland on Friday- I doubt I can fit the RTT in my bed to transport home and install there, so looks like i may have to install there at the pickup warehouse.

I noticed that these tents have vertical crossbars, well- so does my KB Voodoo rack...

has anyone installed one of these tents (or any tent with vertical cross bars) onto a rack that also has vertical crossbars? I am trying to plan out what I need to take to install.

Here is a pic of the install brackets Inspired Overland uses.
and I have reached out to I.O- and they have been very helpful; but I am still a bit confused as to how I can make this work.

I would appreciate any info/ advice.

What kb voodoo rack do you have that has vertical cross bars? I just looked on their website and they all look horizontal. Got any photos of your rack?

I have the KB Voodoo max modular rack.

Another idea I got; was I noticed underneath the tent crossbars they appears to be a t slot (waiting on I.O to confirm) so I 'am thinking I can lay the tent crossbars directly on my rack crossbars and bolt it thru the rack crossbar into the tent.
I have messaged IO to see what size T-nut would fit but I haven't received a reply. (anyone with an IO tent know?)

worst case- I will have to ratchet strap it to my rack :p so I can get the tent home.

I was not expecting to have to pick up the RTT this week so I found myself a bit unprepared.

yea i've mounted my tepui tent to my old kb voodoo rack with the bars on my tent both ways. definitely easier with the bars going side to side, but with the bars on the tent going front to back, just move the bars on your rack to the same width and put the bolts through the middle of the bar on the rack. buying shorter bolts makes it sooooo much easier. trying to ratchet those bolts down with very limited side room was so frustrating. my ratchet set didnt work because there was so much bolt that was past the nut once it was tight.

my older rack had slots to move the bars around. looks like yours has fixed holes. idk how that would work actually, but is worth a shot.

Couldn’t you just clamp around the end cross bars of your rack? Or is the rack too long?

I think you could also bolt through like suggested above.
