    Hello all,

I have a 2023 SR5 with a few options and I wanted to start to fit it out for construction field work as well as some recreational off-roading. I had a 1987 4x4 back in the day and use to off road in Nevada just fine so I figure a 35 year newer vehicle doesn't really need a performance upgrade to do what I plan to do with it, but I had a few things I wanted to do to protect the vehicle and was wondering if people out there had products they preferred. Here is what I am thinking:

    1) Front brush guard - I am going to get hit on the construction site, so might as well prepare...
    2) Rear bumper matching brush guard w/ tow hitch
    3) One of those new bed sliding tool chests - they seem useful but would need to still be able to get an atv on top of it
    4) Winch
    5) Sports bar or roof rack for lighting / storage - use to have a sports bar for rolling although I never rolled it. But it was good for lights.
    6) skid plate - probably should invest in one. any favorites?
    7) side bars - I never had these before. are they useful?

Thanks for any thoughts and help!

I wouldn't go with a brush guard as they really only protect a few things. You probably should get a full bumper with a full grille/headlight bar

A good way that you can check a few of those options is to check out this group buy that we are doing with Coastal Offroad. They have both front and rear bumpers as well as skid plates. Additionally a lot of their offerings come in an aluminum option. Not as strong but very helpful for reducing weight. Would probably be more than strong enough for your application

Look at a headache rack vs a sports bar. My avatar shows my steel Apex rack from Discount Racks. It was an adjustable model that I had welded together. It's for work, not for rollover protection. If you find one tall enough you can load ladders horizontally on it with a single rear ladder support. Mine isn't tall enough to load a ladder horizontally though I've loaded plenty of crap including ladders against it.
