    Hello,

I was given a 96 tacoma with a blown motor. Not knowing anything, I purchased a new 2rz due to it does not have distributor anymore. I was able to source out the correct wiring harness, but I'm stuck on getting an ecu. Motor mated with trans and is in the truck just confused on ecu's. I'm $1k into purchasing ecu's and harness at this point. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Welcome aboard!

If you don’t get the answer here, try posting in “1st gen Tacomas” section. Good luck!
