My plan is to use it to make trails at camp not sure how well it will work but I’m all in. I’ll be posting pictures of what I’m doing with it and how well it’s working out .
I’m an old pro at using an Excavator with just under about 3 hours seat time…..now for some pictures last picture is of the bank I’m cutting back to get a full-size truck to pass by the side camp and then to start making trails

What's the tonnage of that machine, and how far back are you going with it?

Here's a good YouTube channel for this kind of stuff: https://www.youtube.com/c/AndrewCamarata

Going on 3 years now. There's no turning back at this point.

The obvious next step for me is a bigger machine.

IMG_9287.jpg IMG_9289.jpg IMG_9287.jpg IMG_9289.jpg Today I got to camp at about 11:00 am ran the mini for about 2 and a half hours and used about 12 Oz Of diesel then ran it for about 2 more hours. After being hunched over using the control sticks my back started to hurt so I called it a day!

If you take a look at the above photo you will see what it looked like before I started today with making room for a full size truck to drive around camp. I ended up taking more than the 1 foot I was hoping for because at a lot of the spots there was falling rocks and it ended up being more than like 2 and a half feet of the bank side removed.

I'm following your progress/success closely, these machines seem to tick all the boxes for around the property use.
Where did you get it, is there an actual dealer for these in Pa. ?

Interesting, the CD oil specification was considered obsolete in 1994.

Yes look up groundhog equipment Middleburg,Pa 17842
They shipped him like 37 of them that he didn’t order I think he said they where to go to Italy but someone messed up ;-) with taxes I was out the door for $6200 BEANS I was going to look at a groundhog 12 for 6900.00.+Tax he is also on YouTube nice guy to deal with in real life and he has started a network of dealers so if you need something he has it . And no waiting for stuff to get shipped over.
Also I think I am running 15w-40 engine oil and can’t think what hydraulic oil off hand

    Thank you for the info.

These little EX are fascinating machines, obviously Kubota, Deere, Bobcat, etc. branded machines are structured for commercial service but they come with a commercial price too.

For private use these China machines really hit an affordable price point.

I think 15W-40 might be kind of heavy for a small engine, a high quality diesel rated 10W-30 is probably a better choice.

After fighting to get my fat hands down to the drain bolt for a long long time I got the grinder out and opened it up some in the back now I can get to the bolt and it’s letting some heat out from the engine bay also ordered some header heat tape and a 7in fan for it.
Now after dinner I am going to make a cover that keeps the rain out but also keep it open to shed some heat .
