Just replaced the clamshell bushing and took it for a test drive and noticed a metal on metal grinding noise when turning right. A little bit when turning left. Also when turning my brakes get very spongy. When installing the new clamshell bushing the bushing was flush and didn’t really have issues with that. Not sure where to start.

You might have damaged a brake line while installing the bushing, check the brake line on that side, and double check your work.

This^. Double check that you reassembled the brakes properly, especially the caliper and pads. Check that you didn't bend the backing plate or for anything else rubbing.
