Brake lights come on and stay on if I just turn on my running lights or headlights

The result is that people behind me can't tell if I'm braking or not because they're always on when my lights are on which I drive with them on day and night. Thank you in advance Tacoma world.

 

99% sure the issue will be your tail light bulb socket. The tail/brake light bulb has 2 terminals on the bottom. If the bulb or bottom of the socket twists the tail light terminal will touch the brake light terminal and power the brake lights and tail lights.

 

If you got trailer plug, that could be corroded and back feeding as well.
