well something good came out of this.....the truck no longer sounds like Sanford-and-Son going down the road with the squeeks.....what I thought were the springs/ubolt rubbing was actually the loose spare tire making that racket.....WELL WORTH the cost of a new spare......

 

Old spares are a bad thing. Tire rubber goes bad with time, and having a bad backup is never a good idea.

I watch that show almost every night, i dig those old comedies.

 

As long as the censors stop applying new ideas to those. I was watching "The Caine Mutiny" (1950s movie) on TV, but then they were playing bridge and bidding suits ... the subscripting was preventing one of the suits from being spelled out because SOMEONE would OBVIOUSLY be unable to tell the word referred to a card-suit for the game. I will say not more on that.
